We go to great lengths to source all our coffee and food from growers and suppliers who share our commitment to the health of people and our planet. Real drinks and real food are our underlying philosophy as we believe these are fundamental to living a long and healthy life.
Our coffee beans are always 100% arabica, sourced from farmers who adhere to organic practices and are meticulously roasted by our master roasters at our Vancouver roastery. We offer organic milk and teas as we know that consistency is imperative when providing cleaner drinks. Our baked goods are baked fresh in-house by our commissary team, using organic, local and seasonal ingredients and delivered to all our cafes across the region daily.
We prioritize organic over all other certifications and labels as we aim to minimize the consumption of unhealthy and synthetic chemical inputs that are used almost entirely amongst our competition.
Our commitment to our guests is that we will use real food ingredients as much as possible as we know that the nutritional value of food decreases when it is processed, including use of artificial flavours, dyes, syrups, preservatives and other additives, and genetically-modified ingredients. We focus on using minimal whole-food ingredients and we never use GMOs. While most businesses add fake syrups to heighten flavour and addictive properties to drinks, we go out of our way to not only use unrefined sugar, but much less than the standard, while maintaining the desired flavour profiles.
We only cook with olive oil and tallow oil and we aim to avoid all seed oils in the food we prepare.
We believe our ingredient sourcing standards promote the resilience of our shared food system by encouraging farmworkers' financial security, health and welfare and maintain healthy soil by discouraging further use of chemical inputs. We choose regenerative grains that restore lands and community and organic bronze-cut pasta, which embraces traditional methods.
As well as carefully selecting organic, local and seasonal ingredients, we are always aiming to increase the nutritional value of our dishes and even our drinks. Our children's menu is 100% organic.
You are what you eat, eats. This is why we ensure all our animal proteins are organic, pastured and grass-fed, wherever possible. Our eggs are free-range. Our fish is wild and sustainable. We always demand 3rd party certifications for animal welfare, antibiotic / hormone-free and other farming standards.
Park Royal's open-concept kitchen and in-house bakery not only allows us to deliver fresh food daily to every cafe, but inspires our kitchen team to craft new flavours and menu items inspired by local ingredients.
